Cleaning & Maintenance
Laminate
DO:
- Dust mop and vacuum your floor regularly. Be sure to use a vacuum with a soft bristle brush or a hard floor vacuum attachment.
- Clean your floor regularly.
- Elite Collection: The laminates in this collection should be cleaned with a damp mop (do not wet mop).
- Spill Defense Collection: The laminates in this collection can be wet mopped.
- Place rugs or mats at entryways to collect any sand, gravel or dirt.
- Place felt pads under furniture legs to avoid any scratches.
- Place a chair mat below any office chairs to avoid any wear damage.
- Keep your radiant heat temperature below 27°C (80°F) at all times.
DO NOT:
- Use soap or detergent based cleaners, waxed-based products or any type of polish.
- Drag heavy or sharp objects over the floor.
- Flood the floor with water.
Vinyl
DO :
- Sweep or vacuum regularly to remove loose dirt.
- Use a damp mop as needed using clean water and a diluted floor cleaner.
- Place felt pads under furniture legs to avoid any scratches.
- Place rugs or mats at entryways to collect any sand, gravel or dirt.
- Maintain room temperature between 18° - 29°C (65° - 85°F) year-round.
DO NOT:
- Use a vacuum with a beater bar, use a soft bristle brush or hard floor attachment.
- Use electric brooms with hard plastic bottoms with no padding
- Use harsh cleaners or chemicals.
- Use paste wax or solvent-based polishes.
Artificial Grass
DO :
- Spray down the artificial lawn once a month to remove dust and debris. Organic debris should not be left to build-up as this can cause weeds to grow. Brushing the lawn will help keep the blades upright.
DO NOT:
- Drive vehicles on top of the artificial grass
- Spray chemicals, herbicides or pesticides on your artificial lawn.
- Walk on the artificial grass with athletic cleats
- Do not use wire or metal brush tools to remove debris from your lawn.
