Elite Collection Laminate Warranty

WARRANTY

Select Surfaces laminate flooring is covered by a limited lifetime warranty for residential use. The stipulations of the residential warranty are as follows:

The flooring will be free from manufacturing defects.
The decorative laminate surface will not wear through.
The flooring will not fade due to sunlight, UV rays or electrical light.
The flooring will not stain.
Seams will not unlock under normal use conditions.

Select Surfaces laminate flooring is covered by a limited warranty of 10 years for light commercial use. The stipulations of the light commercial warranty are as follows:

The flooring will be free from manufacturing defects.
The decorative laminate surface will not wear through.
The flooring will not fade due to sunlight, UV rays or electrical light.
The flooring will not stain.
Seams will not unlock under normal use conditions.

The Select Surfaces commercial use warranty is applicable to installations in the following areas without immediate access to street traffic; offices, hotel rooms and suites, hotel conference and multipurpose rooms, and retail stores.

This warranty is not applicable to installations in heavy commercial areas such as, but not limited to, airports, restaurants, bars, etc. To validate the commercial warranty, the flooring must be professionally installed following Select Surfaces installation guidelines and only installed in dry interior areas.

The following conditions apply to the warranty and may void the warranty if not followed correctly. The owner must follow the care and maintenance guidelines.

The flooring must be installed according to the instructions provided.
If filing a warranty claim it must be submitted within 30 days of the discovery of the damage.
Surface wear must be evident and visible from a standing position, measuring at least 2 square inches (13 cm²). Gloss or sheen reduction is not surface wear and is not covered by the warranty.
Proof of purchase, such as a bill of sale is mandatory when requesting warranty service.
The manufacturer reserves the right to designate a representative to inspect the floor in question and remove samples for analysis.
Removing flooring prior to contacting Select Surfaces Claim Department voids the warranty.
The warranty includes the replacement material, and excludes labor cost.
The warranty only applies to product installed indoors.
Upon approval of a warranty claim, Select Surfaces will provide the claimant with instructions on how to proceed to have the flooring repaired or replaced. The claimant has 90 days to comply with the instructions. If the claimant fails to do so within 90 days, all rights under the limited warranty are waived.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

Damage due to improper installation, care, cleaning, or maintenance.
Damage caused by severe impact, scratching, or cutting, fire, water damage, alterations, or any other wear or damage caused by acts of God.
Although Select Surfaces laminate flooring is moisture resistant, it is not waterproof. Damage caused by water or any other liquids, such as swelling and bubbling, is not covered by the warranty.
Slight gaps may occur between laminate planks installed over radiant heating and will not be covered by the warranty.
Peeling and wear in beveled-edged products along the edge of the panels less than 3/16 in (5 mm) from the edge is not covered by the warranty.
The limited warranty does not apply to moldings.
The warranty applies only to flooring purchased through an authorized dealer.
This warranty does not cover defects caused by improper sub-floor / surface preparation (proper installation is assumed to include a moisture test to ensure excessive moisture does not exist in the subfloor). A vapor barrier must be used for those on concrete sub-floors, below grade level or in moisture-prone areas.
This warranty does not apply to damage caused by water or moisture in the subfloor or underneath the flooring, including but not limited to damage from subfloor hydrostatic pressure (water or moisture under the floor that is transmitted to the surface through exerted pressure) or other conditions that result in water or moisture below the floor.

Select Surfaces offers no other warranty, expressed or implied. This warranty replaces all other warranties.

Spill Defense Laminate Warranty

WARRANTY

Select Surfaces laminate flooring is covered by a limited lifetime warranty for residential use.The stipulations of the residential warranty are as follows:

The flooring will be free from manufacturing defects.
The decorative laminate surface will not wear through .
The flooring will not fade due to sunlight, UV rays or electrical light.
The flooring will resist moisture due to mopping and everyday household spills for a period up to 24 hours .
The flooring will not stain .
Seams will not unlock under normal use conditions.

Select Surfaces laminate flooring is covered by a limited warranty of 10 years for light commercial use. The stipulations of the light commercial warranty are as follows:

The flooring will be free from manufacturing defects.
The decorative laminate surface will not wear through.
The flooring will not fade due to sunlight, UV rays or electrical light.
The flooring will resist moisture due to mopping and everyday household spills for a period up to 24 hours
The flooring will not stain.
Seams will not unlock under normal use conditions.

These limited warranties do not apply to damage caused by water or moisture in the subfloor or underneath the flooring, including but not limited to damage from subfloor hydrostatic pressure (water or moisture under the floor that is transmitted to the surface through exerted pressure)
The seams of the laminate flooring installation will resist water penetration for a period of up to 24 hours.
This product is water resistant. However, when excessive moisture accumulates on buildings or on building materials, mold and/or mildew growth can occur. This warranty excludes damage resulting from mold and/or mildew growth due to prolonged exposure to moisture.

Select Surfaces offers no other warranty, expressed or implied. This warranty replaces all other warranties.

Rigid Core Vinyl Warranty

WARRANTY

Select Surfaces Rigid core vinyl Planks are covered by a limited warranty of 30 years for residential use and a limited warranty of 10 years for light commercial use. The stipulations of the limited residential warranty are as follows:

The flooring will be free of manufacturing defects.
The flooring surface will not wear through under normal household use.

The following conditions apply to the warranty and may void the warranty if not followed correctly:

The flooring must be installed according to the instructions provided.
If filing a warranty claim, it must be submitted within 30 days of the discovery of the damage.
Any damage to the wear layer must be evident and visible, measuring at least 13 cm² (2 square inches).
Proof of purchase, such as a bill of sale is mandatory when requesting warranty service.
The warranty is non-transferable.
The manufacturer reserves the right to designate a representative to inspect the floor in question and remove samples for analysis.
The warranty includes the replacement material, and excludes labor costs.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

Damage due to improper installation, care, cleaning, or maintenance.
Use of any adhesive or solvent material during installation.
Installation of Rigid core vinyl in an outdoor/exterior setting or in any type of garage.
Damage caused by severe impact, scratching, or cutting, fire, water damage, alterations, or any other wear or damage caused by acts of God.
Flooring dulled by soaps, detergents, harsh chemicals, dressings, one-step cleaners or wax.
Damage caused by high heels, burns, cigarette burns, cuts, scratches, gouges, and indentations including damage from improper floor protectors and furniture rests; staining caused by dyes tracked from carpet, fertilizers, coal, tar, driveway sealers, oil drippings or other similar materials.
Problems due to moisture and/or alkalinity of the subfloor.
Flooring installed over unstable subfloors (particleboard, chip wood, or pressboard) or improperly prepared subfloors, and or wet/cold floor are not covered by the limited warranty.
Discoloration from mold or from flooding, leaking plumbing or appliances, water entering through sliding glass doors or similar conditions.
Discoloration by exposure to direct sunlight or heat generation.
Discoloration caused by the use of area rugs or floor mats. Use non-staining mats, for rubber mats will discolor the floor.

Acoustic Wall Panels Warranty

WARRANTY

Select Surfaces Acoustic Wall Panel includes a 3-year warranty covering manufacturing defects.

Only applies to material and manufacturing defects.
Only applies to unassembled products.
Only applies to products used indoors.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

Wood is a natural material, and each veneer piece is unique in color, pattern, and texture. Wood naturally changes over time when exposed to light.

The following conditions apply to the warranty and may void it if not followed:

The warranty only applies to uninstalled products and does not cover improper handling, assembly, or storage.
Excludes damage from excessive humidity (above 60%) and high temperatures (above 122°F/50°C).
Issues related to the application of adhesives or joining systems.
Does not cover improper use, installation, care, cleaning, maintenance, scratches, normal wear and tear, impact marks, and damage due to moisture exposure.
Warranty applies only to purchases from authorized dealers.
Claims must be filed within 30 days of discovering damage, with proof of purchase (such as a bill of sale) required for warranty service.
Select Surfaces reserves the right to send a representative to inspect the wall panel and remove samples for analysis.
The warranty only includes replacement material.
This warranty does not apply to damage caused by water or moisture underneath the wall panel, including conditions that result in moisture accumulation below the panel.
When excessive moisture accumulates on buildings or building materials, mold and/or mildew growth can occur. Damage from mold and/or mildew growth due to prolonged exposure to moisture is excluded.
Installation in wet areas or unheated environments (e.g., cottages, RVs) is not covered by the warranty.

Select Surfaces offers no other warranty, expressed or implied. This warranty replaces all other warranties.

Artificial Grass Warranty

WARRANTY

Select Surfaces Artificial Grass is covered by a 10 year warranty against color fade in excess of 15% scale of the original product to the original purchaser.

The following conditions apply to the warranty and may void the warranty if not followed correctly:

The artificial grass must be installed according to the instructions provided by the manufacturer. The owner must follow the care and maintenance guidelines.
If filing a warranty claim it must be submitted within 30 days of the discovery of fading or manufacturer’s defect.
Proof of purchase, such as a bill of sale is mandatory when requesting warranty service.
The manufacturer reserves the right to designate a representative to inspect the artificial grass in question and remove samples for analysis.
The warranty includes the replacement material, excludes labor cost and any other secondary costs.
The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
The warranty only covers artificial grass applied appropriately in a residential environment. Select Surfaces Artificial Grass is not suitable for athletic or sport applications.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

The warranty does not cover any damages or defects caused by:

Improper installation, care, or maintenance.
Failure of the aggregate base system or the infill system.
Issues related to the application of adhesives or joining systems.
Changes resulting from the application of sand or infill, trapped dirt, matted yarns, and compression.
Burns, cuts, accidents, vandalism, abuse, negligence, or neglect.
Drainage defects or deficiency on the sub-base and/or its surrounding area.
Wear or abrasions caused by inadequate sub-base.
Use of improper footwear.
Application of improper cleaning materials.
Use of cleaning chemicals, herbicides, or pesticides.
Force majeures or acts of god.

Composite Fencing Warranty

WARRANTY

Select Surfaces Composite Fencing include a 25-year warranty from the date of original purchase, under normal residential use and service conditions. Select Surfaces composite fencing shall be free from material defects in workmanship and materials, and shall not split, splinter, rot, or suffer structural damage resulting from termites or fungal decay.

If a defect occurs within the warranty period, Purchaser shall notify Select Surfaces in writing and, upon confirmation by an authorized Select Surfaces representative of the defect, Select Surfaces’ sole responsibility shall be, at its option, to either replace the defective item or refund the portion of the purchase price paid by purchaser for such defective item (not including the cost of its initial installation).
Replacement material will be provided that is as close as possible in color, design, and quality as the replaced material, but Select Surfaces does not guarantee an exact match as colors and design may change.
If a valid warranty claim hereunder is made during years 11 through 25 after the original purchase, recovery will be prorated.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

Select Surfaces does not warrant against and is not responsible for any condition attributable to improper installation of Select Surfaces and/or failure to abide by installation guidelines, including but not limited to improper gapping.
Use of Select Surfaces beyond normal and proper use, or in an application not recommended by Select Surfaces guidelines and local building codes.
Movement, distortion, collapse or settling of the ground or the supporting structure on which Select Surfaces is installed.
Any act of God (such as flooding, hurricane, earthquake, lightning, etc.), environmental condition (such as air pollution, mold, mildew, etc.), staining from foreign substances (such as dirt, grease, oil, etc.), or normal weathering (exposure to sunlight, weather and atmosphere which will cause any colored surface to gradually fade, chalk, or accumulate dirt or stains).
Improper handling, storage, abuse or neglect by purchaser, the transferee or third parties.
Ordinary wear and tear.

Artificial Hedges Without Lights Warranty

WARRANTY

Select Surfaces Artificial Hedge Panels are covered by an 8-year limited residential warranty against manufacturing defects and extreme color fading under normal weather conditions. After a period of time, gradual fading may occur depending on the total exposure to sunlight. Warranty is guaranteed to the original purchaser for a period of eight (8) years from the original purchase date and is non-transferable.

The following conditions apply to the warranty and may void the warranty if not followed correctly:

The artificial hedge panels must be installed according to the instructions provided by the manufacturer for guaranteed performance and appearance.
The artificial hedge panels must not be used or installed as flooring.
If filing a warranty claim, it must be submitted within 30 days of the discovery of a manufacturing defect.
Proof of purchase, such as a bill of sale is mandatory when requesting warranty service.
The manufacturer reserves the right to designate a representative to inspect the artificial hedge panel in question and remove samples for analysis.
The warranty covers the replacement material but excludes labor cost and any other secondary costs.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

Warranty exclusions include, but are not limited to the following:

Failure or damages to the product due to high levels of UV exposure.
Failure or damages to the product such as burns, distortions, discolorations, or deformations caused by external heat sources (i.e., BBQs or reflections from glass surfaces such as windows).
Failure or damages caused by plants (or vegetation of any sort) growing directly upon or in contact with any portion of the product (such as sap from trees) or any gardening or landscaping equipment.
Failure or damages caused by accidents, cuts, vandalism, abuse or other sources not related to the manufacturing of the product.
Failure or damages caused by corrosive materials or other chemicals.
Failure or damages to the product due to high pressure or high mineral content water sprays or sprinklers.
Failure or damages caused by improper installation, maintenance, protection, or repair of the product. This includes damages to the product due to using non-recommended parts and accessories, and/or improper placement of attachment accessories to the product.
Failure or damages to the product caused by extreme weather conditions such as high wind or sandstorms, a case of force majeure (i.e., fire, flood, natural disasters etc.), or any event that is not caused by the product itself.
Failure or damages to the product due to commercial applications.

In no event shall the manufacturer and/or retailer be liable for any incidental or consequential damages (including but not limited to liability for economic loss, personal injury, property damages and/or any other damages) connected to the use of this product or improper installation.

Artificial Hedges with Lights Warranty

WARRANTY

Select Surfaces Artificial Hedge Panels are covered by an 8-year limited residential warranty against manufacturing defects and extreme color fading under normal weather conditions. After a period of time, gradual fading may occur depending on the total exposure to sunlight. Select Surfaces affirms that the enclosed LED lights are covered by a 1-year limited residential warranty against manufacturing defects. Warranty is guaranteed to the original purchaser from the original purchase date and is non-transferable.

The following conditions apply to the warranty and may void the warranty if not followed correctly:

The artificial hedge panels must be installed according to the instructions provided by the manufacturer for guaranteed performance and appearance.
The artificial hedge panels must not be used or installed as flooring.
If filing a warranty claim, it must be submitted within 30 days of the discovery of a manufacturing defect.
Proof of purchase, such as a bill of sale is mandatory when requesting warranty service.
The manufacturer reserves the right to designate a representative to inspect the artificial hedge panel in question and remove samples for analysis.
The warranty covers the replacement material but excludes labor cost and any other secondary costs.

Warranty exclusions include, but are not limited to the following:

Failure or damages to the product due to high levels of UV exposure.

Failure or damages to the product due to commercial applications.
Failure or damages due to product alteration or electronic components that have been modified by the user.
Failure or damages to the product caused by not using a voltage-regulated power supply to connect LED products or controls.
Failure or damages to the product caused by connecting LEDs to the wrong output voltage, improper connection of power supplies, LED products or controls.

Deck Tiles Warranty

WARRANTY

Select Surfaces warrants to the original residential purchaser that, for a period of 5 years from the date of original purchase, under normal residential use and service conditions, Select Surfaces Composite Deck Tiles shall not split, rot, or suffer structural damage resulting from termites. Replacement material will be provided that is as close as possible in color, design, and quality as the replaced material, but Select Surfaces does not guarantee an exact match as colors and design may change.

The following conditions apply to the warranty and may void the warranty if not followed correctly:

The Select Surfaces Composite Deck Tiles must be installed according to the instructions provided by the manufacturer.

The owner must follow the care and maintenance guidelines.

If filing a warranty claim it must be submitted within 30 days of the discovery of manufacturer’s defect.
Proof of purchase, such as a bill of sale is mandatory when requesting warranty service.
The manufacturer reserves the right to designate a representative to inspect the product in question and remove samples for analysis.
The warranty includes the replacement material, but exclude shipping costs, labor costs and any other secondary costs.
The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
The warranty only applies if the Select Surfaces Composite Deck Tiles are applied appropriately in a residential environment.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

The warranty does not cover any damages or defects caused by:

Improper installation of the products and/or failure to abide by the installation guidelines.
Use of the products beyond normal use and service conditions, or in an application not recommended by the guidelines and local building codes.
Movement, distortion, collapse or settling of the ground or the supporting structure on which the products are installed.
Force majeures, acts of God and environmental conditions.
Staining from foreign substances (such as dirt, grease, oil, etc.) or weather conditions (defined as harsh exposure to sunlight, weather and atmosphere which will cause any colored surface to gradually fade, chalk, or accumulate dirt or stains).
Slight variations or changes in color of the products.
Improper handling, storage, or neglect of the products by the purchaser.
Decay caused by fasteners.
Ordinary wear and tear.

Landscape Fabric Warranty

WARRANTY

Select Surfaces landscape fabric is covered by a 20-year warranty. This warranty does not extend to additional costs incurred with the use or application of this product, such as labour for installation, other materials or expenses, etc.

The following conditions apply to the warranty and may void the warranty if not followed correctly:

The landscaping fabric must be installed according to the instructions provided by the manufacturer.
If filing a warranty claim, it must be submitted within 30 days of the discovery of a manufacturer’s defect.
Proof of purchase, such as a bill of sale is mandatory when requesting warranty service.
The manufacturer reserves the right to designate a representative to inspect the landscaping fabric in question and remove samples for analysis.
The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
The warranty only covers landscaping fabric applied appropriately in a residential environment.
Select Surfaces Landscaping Fabric will only prevent weeds from growing underneath where the fabric has been installed.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

No landscaping fabric is totally effective against quack grass, bindweed, or other plants propagated by rhizomes. These types of weeds are not covered by the warranty. The warranty also does not cover:

Product that was improperly installed or cared for.
Drainage defects or deficiency on the sub-base and/or its surrounding area.
Force majeures or acts of god.

Hybrid Resilient Flooring Warranty

WARRANTY

Select Surfaces Hybrid-Resilient Flooring is covered by a Lifetime warranty for residential use. The stipulations of the residential warranty are as follows:

The flooring will be free from manufacturing defects.
The decorative Hybrid-Resilient Flooring surface will not wear through.
The flooring will not fade due to sunlight, UV rays or electrical light.
The flooring will resist moisture due to mopping and everyday household spills.
The flooring will not stain.
Seams will not unlock under normal use conditions.

Select Surfaces Hybrid-Resilient Flooring is covered by a limited warranty of 25 years for commercial use. The stipulation of the commercial warranty are as follows:

The flooring will be free from manufacturing defects.
The decorative Hybrid-Resilient Flooring surface will not wear through.
The flooring will not fade due to sunlight, UV rays or electrical light.
The flooring will resist moisture due to mopping and everyday household spills.
The flooring will not stain.
Seams will not unlock under normal use conditions.

This warranty is not applicable to heavy commercial areas including but not limited to airports, lobbies, mall corridors, schools, or commercial kitchens. This warranty is not applicable to any setting subject to heavy rolling loads or machinery, or areas where industrial wet cleaning machines may be used. To validate the commercial warranty, the flooring must be professionally installed following Select Surfaces installation guidelines and only installed in dry interior areas.
Damage caused by severe impact, scratching, or cutting, fire, alterations, or any other wear or damage caused by acts of God.
Slight gaps may occur between Waterproof Rigid Core Laminate Flooring installed over radiant heating and will not be covered by the warranty.
Peeling and wear in bevelled-edged products along the edge of the panels less than 3/16 in (5 mm) from the edge is not covered by the warranty.
The limited warranty does not apply to moldings.
The warranty applies only to flooring purchased through an authorized dealer.
This warranty does not cover defects caused by improper subfloor/surface preparation (proper installation is assumed to include a moisture test to ensure excessive moisture does not exist in the subfloor). A vapor barrier must be used for those on concrete subfloors, below grade level or in moisture-prone areas.
This warranty does not apply to damage caused by water or moisture in the subfloor or underneath the flooring, including but not limited to damage from subfloor hydrostatic pressure (water or moisture under the floor that is transmitted to the surface through exerted pressure) or other conditions that result in water or moisture below the floor.
The warranty does not apply to damage caused by events beyond everyday household spills including, but not limited to, flooding and standing water due to leaking pipes, mechanical failures or appliance leaks. It is recommended that spills be cleaned immediately.
When excessive moisture accumulates on buildings or on building materials, mold and/or mildew growth can occur. This warranty excludes damage resulting from mold and/or mildew growth due to prolonged exposure to moisture.
Environments where heavy snow or water will be tracked in and not cleaned up are excluded from the warranty.

FILING A CLAIM

Any claim under the above warranty must be made within 30 days after the issue is detected by contacting Select Surfaces Technical Support by email at [email protected] or by telephone at 1-855-250-8167. Proof of purchase (indicating the date of purchase) must be presented to file a claim. Select Surfaces reserves the right to send a representative to inspect the floor and remove samples for analysis. If the claimant fails to give reasonable cooperation to the representative to inspect the flooring and remove samples, Select Surfaces shall be under no obligation to provide any remedies to the claimant.

*Important to note*: The owner/purchaser must inspect the color, finish and quality before installation. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for costs incurred when a floor with visible defects has been installed.
